Vale Forever Jorts

Jorts are the piece Vale is best known for. Baggy denim shorts cut long enough to fall below the knee, built on washed and faded denim rather than raw.

How they are built

The waist closes on a drawcord rather than a button fly, which is what makes the fit forgiving across sizes. Hems are left frayed and raw instead of turned and stitched. The decoration is the point: chenille star patches stitched on so they stand off the denim, puffy 414 graffiti prints, paint splatter worked into the wash, charm and passport panels, and Vale patches at the waistband.

Sizing

Vale cuts all of its bottoms oversized and baggy, jorts included — wide through the hip and thigh with a long leg. Take your usual waist; the drawcord takes up any slack. Sizes run waist 30 to 40, and each product page carries the measured chart from the Vale Sports Division label — waist, hip, inseam and leg opening in inches.
