Vale Forever

Vale Forever has been making the same thing since 2014: heavyweight, graphic-led streetwear on washed and garment-dyed blanks. The label goes by Vale for short and signs itself Vale Lives, and the Valley runs through everything it prints — Valley Dreams, Valley State, Sports Division and the VSU and VSX marks all turn up across the graphics.

What Vale Forever makes

Three treatments define the brand.

• Bling — rhinestone and crystal work. If a piece is called bling, that is what it means.
• Chenille and puffy applique, stitched thick enough to stand off the fabric.
• Graffiti and collegiate lettering, screen printed so the ink sits in the cloth rather than on top of it.

Almost nothing is left plain. Hems are frayed, waists take drawcords, and paint splatter gets worked into the washes.

Jorts and denim

Jorts are the piece the brand is best known for — baggy washed denim cut below the knee, drawcord waist rather than a button fly, frayed hems, and chenille star patches or puffy 414 graffiti prints across the legs. Painter and work pants sit alongside them in the same washes.

Tees, tanks and polos

The largest part of the range. Graphic tees, heavyweight tees with a denser hand, big tees cut long and wide, ribbed tanks and sleeveless cutoffs, with 8 Ball, Dogyard, Big Stage, Weatherman and Tazmania among the recurring prints.

Long sleeves, thermals, rugbys and flannels

Four different garments. Waffle-knit thermals with large back prints, collared rugbys named after banks and colleges, plaid flannel shirt jackets covered in silver studwork, and plain graphic long sleeves with raw distressed hems.

Zip hoodies and sweatpants

The full-zip carries the brand’s biggest graphics — raglan stripes over the shoulder, bling panels, chenille script, denim and camo builds. Many colourways came with a matching sweatpant, and we keep those two next to each other on this page.

Jackets and outerwear

The smallest and most seasonal part of the range: camo hooded bombers, Lenny fleeces, rainstorm shells, track jackets, work and coaches jackets, and alumni varsity. Short runs that rarely come back.

Sizing and fit

Vale cuts everything short and wide, so the fit is worth reading before you order.

• Hoodies are cropped and boxy. A Large measures 25.5 inches long by 26 wide — wider than it is long. Size up if you want a standard length.
• Tees are slightly cropped and boxy. A Large is 27.5 long by 25 across, about three inches wider and two shorter than a standard tee. Most people take their true size.
• Long sleeves, thermals and rugbys run close to true to size — still slightly boxy, slightly cropped.
• Pants, jorts and sweatpants are all cut oversized and baggy. On jorts the tagged size measures about two inches larger than the number, and the drawcord takes up the slack.

Where this stock comes from

Vale has one of the worst counterfeit problems in streetwear. Search the brand name and most of page one is lookalike “official store” domains selling heat-transfer copies.

Everything we carry is bought either direct from the brand or from a partner who sources directly from the brand, so every piece traces back to the source. It ships from our own stock here in the US.
