Eric Emanuel built a business on one item. The EE mesh short arrived in the mid-2010s out of New York, took the basketball short seriously as a garment rather than as gym kit, and turned a colourway release into the same kind of event a sneaker drop is.

The EE shorts

This is the collection. Double-layer mesh, an embroidered EE logo on the leg, an elastic drawcord waist and a length that sits above the knee, released in colour pairings rather than single colours — which is why they are named the way they are.

Beyond the shorts

A smaller run: the Motion Reflective tee in neon green, the red paisley zip hoodie, and mocha yellow bouclé sweatpants. These come in short runs and are gone faster than the shorts because there are fewer of them.

Sizing and fit

The shorts run S to XXL on an elastic waist and sit true to size for most people — they are cut roomy through the thigh with a short inseam, which is the intended look rather than a size issue. If you want them longer, sizing up adds width before it adds length. Every product page carries the measured chart in inches.

Yes for most people. They are wide through the thigh and short in the leg by design.

Why are the shorts named with two colours?
Because they are made that way — a body colour and a trim colour. Red Off White means a red short with off-white trim.

What is the Matty Boy version?
A recurring collaborative graphic run, released across several colourways.

Can I wash them normally?
Cold and hang dry. Mesh does not like heat, and the embroidered logo likes it less.
