Bape
A Bathing Ape opened in Harajuku in 1993 and set the template a lot of streetwear still runs on: tiny production runs, a camo pattern you can identify from across a street, and a shoe built on a familiar shape. Most people write it Bape; the tags read A Bathing Ape and BAPE.
The Bape Sta
The brand's own low-top, and the deepest part of this collection. It is instantly readable from the star on the side panel, and the patent leather versions are the ones that gave the silhouette its reputation for shine.
- Patent leather — white blue, white red, navy pink #1, orange #3 OS, white green #8
- Suede — yellow, and black grey
- Numbered colourways — #1, #3, #4, #6 Low and #8, plus the OS run
- Collaboration — the Marvel Black Widow pair
The camos
Two matter most. 1st Camo is the original ape-head pattern, the one on the Star, Shark and Crazy College zip hoodies in green and yellow. ABC Camo is the alphabet version, on the green hoodie and zip hoodie and the white blue College tee. Colour Camo and Cutting Edge sit alongside them in red.
Shark hoodies
The full-zip that closes over the face, with the shark mouth printed across the hood. It is the single most recognisable garment the brand makes, and it is a full-zip rather than a pullover for exactly that reason.
Sizing and fit
Bape apparel is cut on Japanese sizing and runs small against US sizing — many people take one or even two sizes up from their usual. The Bape Sta runs close to US sizing but is narrow, so a half size up is common for wider feet. Every product page carries the measured chart, and on Bape it is worth reading rather than skipping.
Where this stock comes from
Bape is one of the oldest and most heavily counterfeited names in the category, and the Sta in particular. Everything we carry is bought either direct from the brand or from a partner who sources directly from the brand, so every piece traces back to the source. It ships from our own stock here in the US.

FAQ
What does Bape stand for?
A Bathing Ape. Founded in Tokyo in 1993.
What is the difference between 1st Camo and ABC Camo?
1st Camo is the original ape-head pattern. ABC Camo works the letters A, B, C into the same shape.
Does Bape run small?
Yes. Sizing is Japanese, so most people size up at least once. Use the chart on the product page.
Is the Bape Sta a Nike shoe?
No. It is Bape's own shoe, built on a shape borrowed from a well-known basketball silhouette, and it has been made by Bape since the early 2000s.
Is it real?
Everything we sell is bought direct from the brand or from a partner who sources directly from the brand, so it traces back to the source either way.
